Gerry is a serial entrepreneur and healthcare fanatic with over 30 years in the technology industry. Prior to Cloudticity, Gerry was brought in as the chief operating officer at ePrize; he turned around a failing company that was eventually sold for a fourfold return on the initial private equity investment. Before ePrize, Gerry spent eight years at Microsoft, first as chief technology officer for the US central region, then running the global business unit that oversaw General Motors (Microsoft’s second-largest customer), growing that account from $20MM to over $100MM in three years. Prior to Microsoft, Gerry spent nearly a decade in the technology consulting and startup industry. He holds all five AWS certifications.
Peter “Pete” Fox has joined Cloudticity in October of 2020 as Senior Vice President of Sales. Pete leads outside sales, inside sales, existing customer engagement and alliances for the firm. Pete comes to Cloudticity having recently served as President for Ascent Solutions. Pete’s responsibilities at Ascent were to run the day to day operations of the entire firm, working closely with the CEO and Leadership Team.
Prior to joining Ascent, Pete has a track record of successfully building teams and running businesses at scale. Pete was President and GM of Jabra’s North America B2B business, which generated $150 million in annual revenue, and grew North America marketshare for Jabra 50% over a four-year period. Pete was also the architect of a completely new sales and marketing approach for Jabra’s entrance into the lucrative Unified Communications market globally. Prior to Jabra, Pete spent 16 years at Microsoft. The foundation of Pete’s career at Microsoft was his time as a field sales General Manager, during which he led businesses of 250+ people and up to $450 million in annual sales. Pete later moved to Seattle, WA to help design and build the new MidMarket sales organization for Microsoft US. Pete was the eventual Sales Operations lead for this organization that, once built, delivered over $2 billion in annual sales. Pete also built and operated Microsoft’s first consolidated tele-business team, supporting the $15 billion US market with a team of over 1000 FTEs plus contractors and an annual budget of $100 million
Prior to joining Cloudticity, Karl held the following positions:
- Solutions Director and Director of Product Architecture at Rackspace Technology where he recently worked on product management projects in the AWS Product Group. As Director of Product Architecture, he led the Product Architecture, Multi-Cloud Build Engineering and The Complex Cloud Engineering Teams. This group consisted of 50 primarily AWS Engineers and Solutions Architects along with Azure and GCP Engineers
- Vice President of Operations at Digital Fortress in Seattle Washington, a colocation, AWS and Azure managed services company.
- Director of Professional Services at Datapipe where he founded the group that focused on AWS professional services.
- Vice-president of Solutions Architecture at 2nd Watch where he founded the AWS pre-sales Solutions Architect team
Prior to his most recent roles, Karl worked in IT focused Program Management at 3 different periods at Microsoft and co-founded two Seattle based companies focused on Ecommerce development and data management consulting.
Thomas has been with Cloudticity since 2015 and loves wearing many hats. At Cloudticity he has been an AWS solutions architect, a HITRUST compliance manager, and a project manager. He is now the director of project management and customer delivery, a role where he continues to use his organizational- and process-focused mentality to drive success. With a dedicated focus on user experience and customer expectations, Thomas leads the delivery team by defining and implementing an industry-standard model of cloud maturity to guide each customer on their AWS journey. Prior to Cloudticity, Thomas spent six years in the United States Army, seven years in the forex industry, and five years in project management roles in various industries. Thomas holds all five primary AWS certifications and the Project Management Professional certification.
Amber is currently the Customer Success Director for Cloudticity. With 18 years of healthcare background, her experience has spanned both the continuum of care and the globe. Previous work with integrated delivery networks and independent health systems has provided her with deep practical knowledge of healthcare issues. You may recognize Amber from her positions at Provation Inc, Qualcomm (Capsule Tech), or Cerner Corporation. Her understanding of the convergence happening in the marketplace assists her in advising Cloudticity’s healthcare IT and payer clientele as they work to transform their operations. Amber currently supports work focused on cost savings, organizational transformation, and systems optimization. By bringing leading practices to clients who address clinical and operational process improvement initiatives, she works collaboratively to address current state challenges and help execute complex business transformation projects while driving toward a positive ROI. Her breadth of healthcare, medical device, and biotech experience has gained her a reputation as a trusted advisor and connector of healthcare leaders
Kate Wang is a cloud security fanatic with a passion for creative approaches to Marketing. Prior to joining Cloudticity, she was on the Public Cloud Security team at Palo Alto Networks where she drove the content pipeline and social media initiative, dramatically increasing the company’s engagement for public cloud security products. Another fun fact is that you may know Kate as “The Cloud Security Singer” from her viral videos on LinkedIn as well as her YouTube channel. Her goal is to make cloud security more top of mind by providing fun content that gets people talking about real issues such as Shared Responsibility and S3 security. Today, she’s excited to join the Cloudticity mission where we are making healthcare better by empowering companies to leverage the full potential of the cloud.
Chris is a healthcare fanatic with a 20-year professional background and passion for infrastructure and networking technologies. He joined Cloudticity from AWS where he led public cloud adoption for global financial services accounts including Citigroup, Morgan Stanley, and JP Morgan Chase. Prior to that, he was the global head of trading environment management at Morgan Stanley, where he used his DevOps and SRE leadership to help secure the firm's electronic trading stability and profitability through challenging periods such as Brexit, the Facebook IPO, and the subprime crisis era. Chris started his career at Plus One Health Management, now an Optum company, and is excited to return to the industry through Cloudticity to improve the quality and capabilities of healthcare delivery.
Jay is a cloud developer with over 20 years of professional experience delivering web-driven solutions. He has a passion for technology and using cutting-edge tools and methods. He has worked with companies ranging from a few employees to a few thousand employees. He prides himself on his devotion to customers and always promoting the optimal solutions.
Before joining Cloudticity, Jay helped migrate a Bay Area, CA school from a data center-hosted website to AWS. One of the largest projects he worked on was for a leading U.S. commercial railroad company. He worked closely with the customer to modernize their reporting infrastructure.
Jay has recently tried his hand at creating music on his computer (one day it will sound good!). He is an animal-lover and enjoys going to the zoo and is looking forward to raising a new puppy soon.
Jerry brings more than 20 years of Project Management and Leadership experience. Prior to Cloudticity, he led teams in Customer Relations and Operations at a machine vision OEM serving the Food and Beverage sector. Before that, Jerry led an Advanced Engineering Team at Delphi Packard creating a new verification platform, which achieved Zero Defects for 22 million complex automotive assemblies shipped over a period of four years. During his tenure at General Motors, his teams were involved in the rapid implementation of robotics and machine vision systems. When he is not managing projects at Cloudticity, you may find him on a trail with his wife, Lee Ann, or visiting one of their four sons somewhere between Boston and Seattle. Jerry has a BSEE from Kettering University and an MS from SMU in Software Engineering. Jerry is certified as both a Six Sigma Black Belt and as a Project Management Professional (PMP)
Dedicated IT Professional with 30+ years of hardware, software, and virtualization experience in designing and implementing highly available infrastructure platforms and services (IaaS and PaaS) that leverage various compute, network, and storage resources (SDDC). This includes designing & deploying workflows, performance tuning, and applying best practices as lessons are learned. I have extensive knowledge of VMware, Cisco, EMC (VCE) along with Microsoft and AWS technologies. My specialty is providing Business Continuity solutions for Continuous Availability (CA), High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR).
When I am not working, I enjoy spending time backstage at local concert events doing load-in/out, running sound, lighting, cameras, or most likely behind the scenes running the streams for social and multimedia. (I have been known to play guitar or bass too).
Mitch is a seasoned technology leader with a passion for helping anyone he can, but especially his customers. He also holds a deep appreciation for all things technology related in the healthcare space, considering a successful kidney transplant he received in 2009 and all subsequent care being amazing (which would not have been possible a mere 20 years earlier). In former technical lives, Mitch has had titles such as: systems analyst, systems engineer, sales engineer, solutions architect.
Most recently, before joining Cloudticity, Mitch was responsible for all software and data engineering efforts at the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis, where he helped with digital transformation efforts and changing how teams went about operating in a cloud world. Prior to the Federal Reserve Bank, he spent several years at Amazon Web Services as both a Sr. Consultant and a DevOps Team Lead for the AWS Workspaces [fleet] team.
When not working, you can find Mitch having fun at home with his family (two kids and wife) in Minneapolis, doing something music related, or learning a new language. Someday he will get back around to martial arts and SCUBA diving, but don’t ask him when!
Anna Butler is a PMP and CSM certified Project Manager with 5 years of Healthcare Industry experience. She enjoys being a liaison between technical and client teams to ensure client satisfaction. She is results driven and passionate about delivering a quality product in a timely manner. Prior to joining Cloudticity, Anna worked at Intermountain Healthcare completing projects such as:
Anna has a Bachelor's degree in Commercial Music and plays viola professionally with a string quartet at numerous events every year. She is excited to use her skills to help move Cloudticity’s mission forward.
Josh Ray is a Product Marketing Manager with a passion for cyber security and public speaking. He has over 15 years of IT experience working in both startups and fortune 100 companies. After a decade in sales, Josh transitioned to product marketing where he has worked to shape the Endpoint Protection product messaging at Trend Micro, one of the world's leading Cyber security software companies.
Josh holds both an MBA as well as a MA in Communication Studies from Texas Tech University. He has experience working in high growth industries where innovation is key, and has worked multiple years focused on healthcare cyber security.
